Planning Section
The Planning Section deals with the planning and development of New Ross town under the New Ross Town Development Plan 2004 - 2010. The relevant application forms are available at Reception in The Tholsel or on the Application Forms section of this website.
The overall objective is to implement the provisions of the Planning Acts and provide appropriate support measures in order to promote the physical, social and economical well being of the town in the interest of the common good.
The Planning Section deals with planning control, pre-planning enquiries, planning appeals, planning register and building controls.

The Council is obliged to make a Development Plan and review the plan at least every six years. The plan consists of a written statement and a map
or series of maps. It sets out the land use, amenity and development objectives and policies of the Planning Authority.
