Excellence through Accessibility Awards

Excellence through Accessibility Awards is a National Disability Award (NDA) / Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform Award Scheme.

The aim of the award is to examine and encourage the accessibility services provided by Government Departments and Agencies under their remit to people with disabilities. An inaccessable environment restricts peoples ability to participate as full citizens in society.

Excellence through Accessibility seeks to promote and reward commitment to continuous improvements in accessibility of public services.

Wexford County Council in its committment to making Wexford a more accessible environment for all, initially engaged in the Excellence through Accessibility Award process in 2007.
