New Ross, Co. Wexford is located on the River Barrow in the South East of Ireland and is home to a population of approx 7,000. New Ross is the ancestral home of U.S. President John F. Kennedy and is also home to the Dunbrody Famine Ship, which led the Parade of Sail in the Tall Ships Race 2005. New Ross is twinned with Hartford Connecticut (USA), Newcastle (Co. Down) and Moncoutant Deux-Sèvres (France). .
